Celebrating our slow fashion ethos, Nora is an ode to the art of handmade. Beginning with four wood blocks intricately hand-carved to create two traditional floral designs, skilled artisans then use the blocks to slowly and carefully hand print delicate pink hues upon the softest cotton voile. Tiers of printed fabric have then been gracefully layered and finished with mother-of-pearl buttons from bodice to base, forming this free flowing feminine style lovingly hand-crafted by a small group of women in Jaipur, India.

*Please note due to this style's production process taking several months to create, each Nora mini dress is completely unique and one-of-a-kind and is only available in extremely limited quantities.*

Material ~ 100% Cotton. This style features an underlining, covering the bodice to the base of the last tier on the mini length skirt.

Garment Care ~ We recommend a gentle, cold water hand wash using natural detergents, and hang drying in the shade. Handcrafted garments are delicate, however, designed to last when treated mindfully with love and care.

Perfect holiday wearing my beautiful dresses

Just back from my holiday in Sardinia and everything was absolutely perfect because I had my Daughters of India dresses with me. I bought 4 of them before I went away and yes I was a bit apprehensive about spending this money! However it turned out to be the best investment ever! I wore them the whole time on vacation, didn't need to pack anything else in my case. On the beach during the day as they were really cool and light in the warm sunshine. Then so feminine and gorgeous while strolling in the nice evening summer breeze. I got so many lovely complements from my family and friends. What a fantastic replacement too the normal sticky shorts and tight fitting t-shirts! Thank you for making my holiday so memorable Daughters of India ❤️

Fine and flowy

Absolutely beautiful, a lot finer/thinner cotton than I expected, but it sits really well. I got an XS as usually NZ/AU 6-8. Perfect length as I am 163cm it sits above my knee but not too high with having little kids! Could easily pull off a S though. Very delicate, and I’ll add my own slip as it’s just a little too thin for family events! Love it, glad I took the plunge to invest in this!!
