Our block colour fabrics are dyed by hand in small batches, allowing each piece to be coloured slowly and evenly. Fabrics are piece-dyed using azo-free dyes, with the process adjusted to suit each shade.

Deeper colours may move through multiple dye baths to build depth and consistency, while lighter tones are dyed with carefully controlled concentrations and close attention to maintain softness and uniform colour. Our white fabrics are left undyed.

Each fabric is then thoroughly washed and softened, allowing the colour to settle naturally while preserving the fabric’s lightness, movement, and feel against the skin.

"The white Nadi dress was my 4th DOI purchase. I wanted a cool easy wear dress perfect for any summer occasion, this dress ticks all the boxes. It is the cleanest of whites, bearly see through and no need for a slip. The gauze material is so so soft draping beautifully over the body. I have a bigger bust so it fits perfectly with buttons at the back however could be worn either way. Looking foward to my next DOI purchase when it is restocked."

"This dress is absolutely beautiful, the material so dreamy and soft and pockets of course are a huge plus. I can't wait to live in this in the Summertime. You can dress it up or down with shoes & accessories which is fabulous, we love a multi functional frock. As per other reviews though it does run slightly small. If you're a little busty (like me) you will struggle wearing it in the reverse (buttons down the front). I bought an XL, i'm usually a size 14-16 and wear a 16D bra."

Sizing difference from other colours

"Love this dress, although unfortunately it’s a little small around the bust(I bought large size as size 12). I have the same dress in mauve size Large and it fits really well and live in this dress, literally. So upset I can’t wear the white one unless I lose weight!! I unfortunately hung it up straight away thinking it would be exactly the same as the other one, fit wise and so now too late to send back :("
